Description

After its closure in 1983, the Port Ellen distillery has continued to gain a much respected status as a true legacy of Islay.  This is the first of the incredibly popular Port Ellen annual releases. 

Distilled in 1978 and bottled 35 years later in 20014, bottled at cask strength and limited to 2,964 bottles.

The Port Ellen distillery is located in Port Ellen on the isle of Islay, Scotland. It initially operated between 1825 and 1983 when production shut down.
