Description

This extremely rare release from The Macallan was presented in early 2021, it is absolutely stunning in it's bespoke oak presentation box and is the third time the distillery has worked with the well known British artist, Sir Peter Blake who famously was the designer of The Beatles iconic Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band record sleeve, he is perhaps best known in the whisky world for labelling 12 bottles of the legendary Macallan 1926: currently the most expensive single malt in history. This release was distilled in 1967 and represents the decision to persevere with using sherry-seasoned oak casks in the face of industry and market pressure to compromise.

Only 322 bottles of 'Down to Work' were released with a digital reproduction of the original hand-created label from Blake.
