This is a special release bottling of vintage Glenfarclas distilled in 1988, matured in Sherry Casks and bottled in 2016. The 20th release of an exclusive series and features Scottish mathematical phycicist, James Clerk Maxwell. One of only 2400 bottles.

Distillery Information

Glenfarclas distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland, owned and run by the Grant family.

The distillery was first granted a licence in 1836 and now has six stills which are the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners. 

The company was named Distiller of the Year by Whisky Magazine in 2006. 

Glenfarclas translates as meaning 'Valley Of The Green Grass.'
